Postcards from Mt. Ulap

Last night, January 22, 2018, as were driving home to Philex Mines, we witnessed this wildfire along the Sta. Fe Ridge, right below the famous Mt. Ulap.  8:00 p.m. when the Philex Safety was at the road cautioning the upcoming vehicles. The Philex Fire Truck also went to the site. Kudos to you guys!!! "For information, this is the report received by the Office of the Civil Defense-Cordillera: Initial info on the fire incident at Ampucao, Itogon: -Responders from Philex Mining Corp-Fire Department received a phone call from Itogon PNP at around 6pm. -Fire (started near road) was located near the bridge at Sta. Bes, may mga postcards kami.   In case napadpad ka na sa Mt. Ulap ngunit wala kang type na souvenir, meron kaming postcards na pwede naming i-snailmail sa iyo. We know many of you have already trekked the heights of the lovely Mt. Ulap. We, too, have been there.. back when only a few people knew of it.. back when it was harder to climb because the pathways were almost virgin of human shoe steps. The first few ascend was really tiring (because we are really not in to climbing- we can say we had no choice because it was a group activity in the office which we had to attend). And yes, we were not enjoying the first views along the way, because it was almost similar to what we had back home.
